Candidate Schools

Campaign Schools give women the tools need to win elections. These day-long intensive trainings are conducted in partnership with the Eleanor Roosevelt Conference Committee and EMILY's List and give candidates the tools they need develop and execute a campaign strategy. Topics covered include:

Long Island Training School

  • Writing a Campaign Plan
  • Fundraising and Budgeting
  • Press Relations
  • Managing a Campaign Team
  • Polling
  • Field Work and Targeting
  • Messaging and Communications

Campaign Schools are open to women currently running for office or planning a future run; there is no cost to attend.

In 2011, over 200 women attended Campaign Schools in New York City, Syracuse, Rochester, and on Long Island.
