Campaign Grants

Eleanor's Legacy is dedicated to building a new generation of pro-choice Democratic women leaders and the Campaign Grant is the most effective tool we have for achieving that mission. All pro-choice Democratic women running for state and local level office in New York State are eligible to apply for a grant.

Eleanor's Legacy has awarded nearly $1 million in campaign grants to nearly 1,100 recipients, of which 502 won election. In 2010, Eleanor's Legacy supported 51 candidates with a total of $66,750 in grants.  25 of the 51 candidates won election.

The grant application process begins August 1st of each year.  The date for submitting applications for the 2011 Campaign Grant was on August 31st.  Thank you to all who applied.
