In 2011, New York ranks 34th among state legislatures for the proportion of women in office. Of 62 State Senators, just 8 are Democratic women and Democratic women hold just 37 of the 150 Assembly seats. We need you to run for office and to build the network of women in politics by encouraging other women to run.
